Bi Shrinkage Yarn

BSY is primarily used in the fabrics. BSY stands for BI SHRINKAGE YARN. It is a combination of two yarns of diverse shrinkage so as to create one composite yarn. The Peach skin type yarn which made of differential shrinkage mechanisms with silky touch. The unique yarn components are brought under controlled process have to be combined to achieve desired results. Bi Shrinkage Yarn (BSY) is prepared by spinning together FDY and POY which gives differential shrinkage in the yarn commonly known as ITY or BSY.

The specifications of the qualities of the yarn made Parth Enterprise are mentioned below:
  • 50/48 sd BSY
  • 80/48 sd BSY
  • 130/42 sd BSY
All the above varieties come with semi dull luster. And other combinations of Bi Shrinkage Yarn are also possible to be made by making variations in the combinations. The features of the yarn are:
  • Soft to handle
  • Bulkiness
  • Dry touch
  • Good drapery and resilience
The major applications of the yarn are like:
  • Burka Fabrics
  • Trousers
  • Ladies Top & Bottoms
  • Abaya, Scarf
  • Dress Material
  • And many more.
While processing of BSY, due to distinctive shrinkage, the high-shrink element shrinks and the low-shrink element comes out of the fabric because of the micro-loops, thereby giving the fabric brilliant fall and texture. Thus the product comes out with a very nice “textured” effect which is also known as brushed effect or peach skin effect or terry loop effect. It depends on making of the fabric and characteristics of the component yarn used in it.

The yarns are categorized on the basis of a special shrink-bulk effect i.e. when the fabric is made from them is exposed to over-feeding or wet-finishing. The process of bi-shrinking provides the fabrics with texture in the process when instead of the older technique where yarn is textured primarily, with the yarn consequently made into fabric. Some of the combinations are available in the market which are fully-oriented, high speed-oriented, low oriented, polyester friction textured, self-elongation yarns and fully-drawn. The new technique saves the production cost and allows various possible new combinations.
